THE SCHOOL OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION

School of Vocational Education is an integral part of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, Yaba Lagos which at inception comprised Agricultural Education and Home-Economics Education units under the School of Science Education and Fine and Applied Arts Education. The proposal for the establishment of the school of Vocational Education was written in 1998. The units became three full-fledged departments when the school was approved on the 1st of June 1999. The programmes in the school lead to the award of NCE (Double Major) in Agricultural Education, Home-Economics Education and Fine and Applied Arts Education.  All three programmes in the school are fully accredited by the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE). The School currently runs Degree programmes in the three departments in affiliation with the University of Benin (UNIBEN) in line with the Vision and Mission of the College Management. The School of Vocational Education in the past had organized academic programmes and co-curricular activities that had no doubt contributed to the intellectual needs of the students, staff and society at large. Such programmes include Conferences, Lectures, Seminars, Workshops, Exhibitions and Sporting events. The School housed qualified and competent academic and non-teaching staff whose experiences in academic and administrative space are quite enormous.
